Penketh Fun Run
The run is 3.2 miles long and takes in roads as well as some mildly challenging terrain.  It starts at 10.45am. on Sunday, 17th June from Hall Nook in Penketh.  Entrants should assemble on Greystone Road Recreation Ground at 10.15 am.  The cost of entry to the race is £1 for children under 16 and £1.50 for those over 16.  There is an  EXTRA FEE OF £1 TO PAY FOR ENTRY ON THE DAY.  All runners receive a finishers medal as they cross the line.  Entry forms are to be found in all of Golden Gates Leisure outlets and details for entering by post are included on the form.  Golden Gates Leisure are sponsoring the cost of this year's race. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley, Steve Norman and John Keeble will appear together on stage to perform the Greatest Hits of one of the most successful bands of the 1980s. It was Hadley’s vocals, Norman’s saxophone and guitar, and Keeble’s drums which, combined with the songwriting talents of Gary Kemp, led to the string of Spandau Ballet hits including ‘Gold’, ‘Through the Barricades’, ‘Communication’, ‘Only When You Leave’, and of course ‘True’.

8-July  The Cystic Fibrosis Sponsored Bike Ride will be a 20 mile trip from Lymm Village to Tatton Park and back again. It takes place on Sunday the 8th of July, 2001, beginning at 12 noon.
Riders who register in advance must pay an entrance fee of £3 for an adult, or £2 for under 16s.
This fee must be sent with your registration form.
There is a charge of £10 for registration on the day.
